The Flag of Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine is the official symbol representing the administrative region of Donetsk Oblast within Ukraine. Adopted on March 25, 1998, it consists of a rectangle divided into two equal horizontal parts by a wavy blue line that represents rivers and coal mines. The upper half is blue with a gold (yellow) Saint Andrew’s cross, symbolizing the historical connection to Russia, while the lower half features five green stalks of wheat arranged in an arc, representing agriculture and prosperity. This flag reflects the region’s blend of Ukrainian and Russian influences.
