Flag of Luhansk Ukraine The Flag of Luhansk, Ukraine is a regional flag representing the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR), a breakaway state in Eastern Ukraine that de facto controls the Luhansk Oblast. It was officially adopted on February 12, 2015. The flag consists of three horizontal stripes in shades of red, blue, and black, symbolizing the blood spilled during revolution, loyalty to the sky, and fertile earth respectively. In the center, there is a white circle with a red star, which represents the workers’ struggle for a communist society. The flag reflects the political aspirations of the Luhansk People’s Republic and serves as a symbol of its identity. It should be noted that Ukraine considers the Luhansk People’s Republic as part of its territory and does not recognize it as an independent state.
