The Flag of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada is the official symbol of the capital city of Canada. Adopted on February 15, 1988, it consists of a white field with three blue mapsle leaves arranged in a vertical stack, representing the province of Ontario. Each leaf has seven points, signifying the original counties of Carleton, Gloucester, Lanark, Renfrew, Russell, and the two sections of Ottawa County at the time of the city’s incorporation in 1855. The flag is a reflection of Ottawa’s unique history and its relationship to Ontario province.
