The Naval Ensign of Algeria is the official flag used by the Algerian Navy. This bi-colored flag features two horizontal bands with green at the top and white at the bottom, both taking up equal space. In the center is a red crescent moon facing towards the hoist (the side where the flagpole is) with a five-pointed star just above it. The crescent and star symbolize Islam, which is the predominant religion in Algeria. The design reflects the country’s rich history and its commitment to naval forces.
